What is Reiki?

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The term "Reiki" comes from the Japanese words "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," meaning life force energy. It involves the transfer of this universal energy from the practitioner's hands to the client for the purpose of strengthening your energy system and helping people to experience peace, tranquility, relaxation, and revitalization. A practitioner moves their hands on/above parts of the body (physical touch or a few inches from the body is effective).

 Reiki has been shown to help:

Every Reiki practitioner has a unique approach. In my sessions, I guide you into deep relaxation and visualization, helping to activate your body's parasympathetic nervous system and slow your brain waves. I want to make it easy for you to get the most out of your session! Through guided relaxation, energy work, and sound frequency, I help you reach a tranquil state of awareness. Some describe it as a sleep/wake state. This process allows you to quiet your thinking mind, release anxieties and worries, connect to your Soul Purpose, and experience profound peace and calm. By engaging in energy work, your body learns to maintain a more regulated state. Which will help you navigate this whacky, fast-paced world with a little more ease.

What does it feel like?

People often describe their experience during a session as being on the edge of sleep, feeling deeply relaxed and at ease. Some even drift into sleep. After each session, people frequently report feeling lighter, more peaceful, and more connected to themselves.
